Belosalik lotion, 100 ml

BELOSALIC has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiproliferative, keratolytic and antimicrobial action.

Betamethasone has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antiproliferative, and antipruritic actions.

When applied to the surface of the skin, betamethasone has a fast and strong action in the focus of inflammation, reducing the severity of objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).

Salicylic acid has a keratolytic effect which cleanses the lesion of scales, facilitates penetration of betamethasone into the skin and maintains the acidic skin environment, preventing the development of bacterial and fungal infection.

Indications

Subacute and chronic dermatoses sensitive to corticosteroid therapy, accompanied by hyperkeratosis and desquamation:

Psoriasis, scalp seborrheic dermatitis, asbestos-like lichen, seborrhea, neurodermitis, red squamous lichen with localization on the scalp, eczema, ichthyosis, skin dyshydrosis.

The active ingredient:

betamethasone in the form of dipropionate – 0.64 mg (0.064 %), corresponding to 0.500 mg of betamethasone and salicylic acid – 20 mg (2%);

Auxiliary substances: diisodium edetate – 0.300 mg, hypromellose 4000 cPs – 5.000 mg, sodium hydroxide – 5.000 mg, isopropanol – 392.000 mg, water – 577.060 mg.

How to take, the dosage

For external use only.

A few drops of the topical solution are spread evenly over the surface of the skin, rubbing gently. The frequency of use is 2 times a day; in mild cases a single use is sufficient.

The duration of the continuous course of treatment is usually limited to 3-4 weeks. If a longer course of therapy is necessary, it is recommended that the drug be used less frequently, for example, every other day.

The drug can be prescribed with caution in children from 6 months of age and for the shortest time possible.

Interaction

No clinically significant interactions with other drugs have been noted.

The simultaneous use of cosmetic and dermatological topical products containing ethanol or medical soaps with a strong drying effect may cause skin irritation.

Special Instructions

The drug is for external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes and use in the anogenital region.

The use of the drug under an occlusive dressing is not recommended unless necessary.

If fungal or bacterial microflora develops on the skin, additional use of an antibacterial or antifungal agent is necessary.

The product Belosalik® lotion in the form of a solution for external use is particularly suitable for use on the scalp. The solution is easy to apply to the surface of the skin, does not stick to or dry out the hair, leaves no visible residue and has a cooling effect on the skin.

Influence on driving and operating ability

There are no reports of adverse effects of Belosalik® Lotion on driving and operating ability.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to betamethasone, salicylic acid or any of the excipients of the drug.

Skin tuberculosis, cutaneous manifestations of syphilis, varicella, viral skin infections, postvaccinal skin reactions, open wounds, trophic ulcers, rosacea, acne vulgaris, children under 6 months of age.

Side effects

The side effects are usually mild.

Hypersensitivity reactions (itching, burning or redness) may develop.

Rarely, as with other glucocorticosteroids, acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, stretch marks, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, telangiectasia, secondary skin infections may develop.

In long-term continuous use and in large areas of the skin, topical use of betamethasone may cause systemic side effects associated with suppression of adrenal cortical function.

If hypersensitivity or adverse events occur, discontinue treatment and see a physician.

Overdose

Pregnancy use

The use of Belosalik® Lotion in pregnant women is allowed when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the drug should be of short duration and limited to small areas of the skin.

When breastfeeding, Belosalik® Lotion may be used for strict indications, but the drug should not be applied to the breast skin before breastfeeding.
