Anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antibacterial, antipruritic.
Belogent has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiproliferative and antipruritic effects.
When Belogent is applied to the skin surface it has fast and strong action in the center of inflammation reducing intensity of objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).
Indications
Dermatoses, allergic and inflammatory skin diseases that respond to therapy with topical corticosteroids, the course of which is complicated by bacterial infection or there is a risk of its adhesion in children from 1 year and adults:
Eczema, diffuse neurodermitis;
dermatitis – atopic, contact (including professional one.Atopic (including professional), allergic, seborrheic;
infectious dermatitis developed as a result of insect bites;
impetigo;
psoriasis;
ruber lichen;
phlebotodermia;
anogenital itching.
Active ingredient
Composition
1 g contains betamethasone dipropionate 0.64 mg (corresponding to 0.5 mg of betamethasone),
gentamycin sulfate (in recalculation on the base) 1 mg
How to take, the dosage
Belogent is applied to the affected area of the skin in a thin layer, rubbing gently, twice a day.
Special Instructions
Belogent is for external use only.
Long-term use of the drug on the face is not recommended because of the possibility of rosacea, perioral dermatitis and acne.
Belogent should not be used in the eye area because of the possibility of the drug getting into the mucous membrane which may contribute to the development of cataracts, glaucoma, fungal eye infections and exacerbation of herpes infection.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to betamethasone, gentamicin and other components of Belogent;
viral skin infections, skin postvaccination reactions;
open wounds, trophic ulcers;
acne vulgaris, rosacea;
chicken pox;
cutaneous manifestations of syphilis;
skin tuberculosis.
Side effects
They are mild in nature.
Rarely (as with other GKS) hypersensitivity reactions (burning, itching, redness), acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, stretch marks, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, telangiectasia may develop.
If hypersensitivity reactions occur the therapy should be discontinued and the patient should consult a physician.
Pregnancy use
Possible if the expected effect of therapy exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.
During pregnancy, the use of Belogent should not be prolonged and if possible should be limited to small areas of skin.
In the period of breastfeeding – only in strict indications, but it is not allowed to apply Belogent on the mammary gland before breastfeeding.
