Beloderm, 0.05% ointment 40 g

GCS for external use.

It has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, anti-allergic, vasoconstrictor, antiexsudative and antiproliferative effects.

When applied to the skin surface, the drug has a fast and strong action in the area of inflammation, reducing the severity of objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).

How to take, the dosage

The drug is for external use only.

The cream or ointment for external use is applied to the affected area of skin in a thin layer 2 times a day, rubbing gently. Areas of thicker skin (e.g., elbows, palms and feet) or those from which the product rubs off easily may be treated more frequently. Continuous treatment usually lasts no more than 4 weeks.

In order to prevent relapses when treating chronic conditions, therapy should be continued for some time after all symptoms have disappeared.

Repeats of therapy are possible within a year.

The external cream is used for the treatment of acute, including episodic skin lesions.

The external ointment is used for the treatment of sub-acute and chronic dermatoses including dry, lichenized and flaky lesions or where there is a need for occlusive ointment action.

Interaction

The interaction of the drug Beloderm with other medicines is unknown.

Special Instructions

Long-term use of the drug on the face is not recommended because rosacea, perioral dermatitis and acne may develop.

The drug should not be used in the eye area because of the possibility of contact of the drug with the mucous membranes, which may contribute to cataracts, glaucoma, fungal infections of the eye and exacerbation of herpes infections.

Some areas of the body, such as the armpits and groin folds where there is natural occlusion, are more at risk for stretch marks, so use of the product in these areas of skin should be short-lived.

If a fungal or bacterial infection develops on the skin, additional use of an antibacterial or antifungal agent is necessary.

Pediatric use

The drug may be administered to children from 6 months of age with caution and for the shortest time possible. Do not use the drug under bandages and especially under plastinated diapers, as this enhances absorption of the drug and increases the risk of side effects.

Influence on driving and operating ability

There are no data on adverse effects of Beloderm on driving and operating ability.

Contraindications

Side effects

The side effects are usually mild.

Dermatological reactions: rarely – hypersensitivity reactions (itching, burning, hyperemia), acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, stretch marks, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, telangiectasia, secondary skin infections.

The drug should be discontinued if hypersensitivity or adverse reactions develop.

Overdose

Symptoms:The development of adverse effects associated with suppression and insufficiency of adrenal cortical function is possible with prolonged continuous use of the drug, especially in children, on extensive skin surfaces, when applied to skin with compromised integrity or when used under an occlusive dressing.

Treatment: It is recommended that the drug be discontinued and symptomatic therapy administered if necessary.

Pregnancy use

The use of Beloderm in pregnant women is allowed in cases when the expected benefits to the mother exceed the risk to the fetus.

In such cases the use of the drug should be short and limited to small areas of the skin.

In the period of breastfeeding, use of the drug is possible under strict indications, but the drug should not be applied to the skin of the mammary gland before breastfeeding.
