Pharmacological effect

Antiseptic agent for use in ophthalmology, biguanide derivative.

Special instructions

If other medications are used in eye drops along with picloxidine, it is necessary that the interval between instillations be at least 15 minutes.

Composition

Eye drops in the form of a clear, colorless or slightly yellowish solution.

1 ml

picloxidine dihydrochloride* – 0.5 mg, which corresponds to the content of picloxidine 0.434 mg

*A 5% excess of picloxidine dihydrochloride is allowed during the production of the drug.

Excipients:

dextrose (glucose) anhydrous – 50 mg,

polysorbate 80 – 0.25 mg,

purified water – up to 1 ml.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to picloxidine.

Possible: local irritation, hypersensitivity reactions.
