Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
p> Atheroklefit® is a liquid extract from the red clover grass collected during the flowering phase. The extract is obtained by double extraction of red clover grass with 40% ethanol.
According to preclinical studies, the liquid extract of red clover herb has moderate hypolipidemic effect: it helps to decrease the concentration of total cholesterol, concentration of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and increase the concentration of high-density lipoproteins (HDL).
The mechanism of action of the liquid extract of red clover herb is associated with a redistribution of cholesterol from LDL to HDL, in which cholesterol is more quickly metabolized and eliminated from the body.
The liquid extract of the herb clover red also helps reduce the intensity of lipid peroxidation, resulting in reduced lipoprotein peroxidation and normalizes the permeability of the vascular wall.
