Synopsis
Studies show that taking oral contraceptives for more than six months leads to depletion of vitamins and minerals. This contributes to adverse events, including intermenstrual bleeding, irritability, breast engorgement, pigmentation and an increased risk of thrombosis.
The Astrid 30 Complex contains all the necessary components to eliminate the deficiency of essential micronutrients:
Tryptophan
The essential amino acid that is not synthesized in the human body. Tryptophan, however, is involved in many vital processes: the maintenance of nitrogen balance, acts of excitation and inhibition, and the transformation of one form of energy into another. Tryptophan is involved in the synthesis of proteins and a number of biologically active substances: vitamin B3, serotonin, melatonin and others. Insufficient intake of tryptophan leads to irritability, anxiety, and causes problems with falling asleep. Taking enough tryptophan relieves headaches and migraine, helps to cope with sleep disorders, eliminates anxiety and depression and strengthens the immune system. Magnesium is involved in protein synthesis, nucleic acid and lipid metabolism, and the formation of energy-rich phosphates. It controls the contractile function and conductive system of the heart. Magnesium is necessary for the release and absorption of serotonin by brain cells, so it reduces anxiety, irritability and fatigue. The effectiveness of magnesium is shown for soreness and feeling of engorgement of the mammary glands. It has a preventive effect on metabolic syndrome and obesity.
Zinc
Zinc is a micronutrient involved in the biosynthesis of proteins, nucleic acids, antioxidant protection of cell membranes; it also regulates calcium transport. Zinc deficiency in the body is reflected in taste and smell. Zinc is necessary for the synthesis and secretion of luteinizing and follicle stimulating hormones of the pituitary gland. Zinc deficiency is manifested by irritability, fatigue, dry skin, skin rashes, hair loss and may be associated with intermenstrual bleeding. Prevents the appearance of age spots on the skin and hair loss. It promotes normal functioning of the thyroid gland and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C contributes to the synthesis of collagen, the intercellular “cementing” substance that provides the structure of muscles, vascular tissues, bones and cartilage. Ascorbic acid promotes the absorption of iron from food intake. Vitamin C is involved in: the synthesis of several hormones and neurotransmitters, folic acid metabolism, immune and antioxidant function. This vitamin regulates the balance of hormones, reduces the pain of menstrual discharge in women.
Vitamin B2
Riboflavin has a positive effect on the nervous system, skin and mucous membranes, liver function, stimulates hematopoiesis. Vitamin B2 contributes to normal light and color vision, protects the retina from excessive exposure to ultraviolet light, reduces eye fatigue, provides adaptation to darkness, increases visual acuity.
Vitamin B6
pyridoxine is necessary for normal metabolism of proteins, glycogen and fatty acids. B6 is necessary for the synthesis of brain intermediates as well as hemoglobin of red blood cells. It plays an important role in the immune system, is involved in regulating the balance of sodium and potassium in the body. If there is a lack of this vitamin, there may be tension or heaviness of the breast.
Vitamin B12
cyanocobalamin is responsible for the regeneration and formation of the myelin sheath of nerve fibers, which protect the nerves and ensure proper and effective transmission of nerve impulses. Vitamin B12 is used to strengthen the immune system, in chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, attention deficit disorder, heavy menstrual bleeding and intermenstrual bleeding
Vitamin B9
Pholic acid is necessary for the formation of red blood cells, helps metabolize proteins and sugars. Depot of folic acid accumulated before pregnancy helps to avoid adverse effects on the fetus during pregnancy.
