Indications

Composition

1 tablet contains:

ascorbic acid – 25 mg

sucrose (sugar) – 2.064 g

glucose (dextrose) – 0.830 g

Auxiliary substances:

potato starch,

citric acid,

magnesium stearate.

How to take, the dosage

Ascorbic acid is taken orally, after meals.

For prophylactic purposes it is prescribed:

Adults- 50-100 mg/day; children 25 mg/day. During pregnancy and lactation 300 mg/day for 10-15 days, then 100 mg/day.

For therapeutic purposes are prescribed:

Adults- 50-100 mg 3-5 times a day; children 50-100 mg 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the nature and course of the disease and is recommended by the doctor.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of Ascorbic acid.

Do not prescribe high doses in patients with high blood clotting, thrombophlebitis and tendency to thrombosis, as well as in diabetes mellitus and conditions accompanied by high blood sugar.

Overdose

Symptoms with prolonged use of high doses (more than 1 g) – headache, increased excitability of the central nervous system, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, hyperacid gastritis, gastrointestinal mucosa ulceration, heartburn, diarrhea, difficult urination, staining of urine red, hemolysis (in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency), inhibition of pancreatic insular function (hyperglycemia, glucosuria), hyperoxaluria, nephrolithiasis (from calcium oxalate), renal glomerular damage, moderate pollakiuria (when taking doses over 600 mg/day).

Decreased capillary permeability (deterioration of tissue trophism, increased blood pressure, hypercoagulation, development of microangiopathies is possible).
