How to take, the dosage
Topically: Apply CitroSept to washed skin. Start with the lowest concentrations indicated (especially in children), but if the skin and mucous membranes are not too sensitive or there is no effect, the concentration can be gradually increased. Use boiled water for the dilutions and always stir the solution thoroughly. Monitor the body’s reaction and increase or decrease the dose accordingly.
Over the body: only in diluted form! CitroSept should be taken in doses of 10-25 drops (depending on the body weight and severity of the disease) 2-3 times a day diluted with 100-200 ml of any liquid, stirring thoroughly. The liquid can be warm, but not hot. You can use boiled water. In chronic diseases the course is from 2 to 3 months or until the disappearance of symptoms. Reception can be continued up to 4-6 months. The volume of 50 ml is enough on average for 1.5 months.
For prevention: Adults – 5-10 drops 2 times a day. In the initial stages of colds, flu or poisoning, it is advisable to take “shock doses” 20-70 drops 2-3 times a day for a course of 2-3 days. If the Herxheimer’s reaction is too intense, the dose should be reduced; for children, 1 drop per 1 kg of weight per day and the total number of drops divided into 3 doses.
Citrosept can be taken regardless of food, but not less than 30 minutes, and in cases of hyperacidity, stomach ulcers, gastritis or heartburn – only immediately before a meal. Those taking the extract for the first time should start with 2-3 drops 2-3 times a day and increase the total amount by 2-3 drops daily for about 2 weeks.

Special Instructions
- Do not let the undiluted drug get on the mucous membranes
- In local use, avoid getting the drug in the eyes
- Herxheimer reaction is a short-term discomfort (1-2 days) resulting from the mass die-off of harmful microorganisms. Toxins released by dead pathogens can cause fatigue, malaise, headache, diarrhea. Herxheimer’s reaction, although not very pleasant, is a sign of a cleansing of the body. To avoid it, taking the extract should begin with a few drops per day (1-5), gradually increasing the dose. It is important to drink more and include foods rich in cellulose in the diet (wholemeal bread, bran), because it facilitates the removal of harmful substances from the body.
- For pregnant women, the maximum daily dose should be 20 drops.
- People who are hypersensitive to citrus fruits should start with a minimum dose: one drop per day to avoid allergy symptoms.
- Diabetics may have a slight decrease in blood sugar levels.
- Persons taking glycosides and other cardiac drugs, especially calcium channel blockers used to treat hypertension and coronary artery disease, and other drugs used in hypertension should consult a physician.
