Special Instructions

When administering IV solutions, too rapid administration should be avoided. During long-term treatment, monitoring of renal function, blood pressure and glucose levels is necessary (especially when prescribing high doses). Patients with urolithiasis, diabetes mellitus, tendency to thrombosis, patients on anticoagulant therapy, patients on salt-free diet are prescribed high doses with special caution.

Ascorbic acid as a reducing agent can distort the results of various laboratory tests (blood glucose, bilirubin, transaminase activity, LDH, and glucose content in urine, which can also cause false negative results in fecal occult blood tests).

Askorbic acid does not inhibit the growth of the fungal vaginal flora when used as vaginal tablets. Symptoms such as burning and itching may be due to a concomitant asymptomatic fungal infection, so these symptoms should be tested to rule out a fungal infection. Intermittent use of vaginal pills due to inter-cyclical or menstrual bleeding is not necessary.
