Stimulator of cartilage tissue regeneration.

Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate sodium are involved in the biosynthesis of connective tissue, contributing to the prevention of cartilage destruction processes, stimulating tissue regeneration. Introduction of exogenous glucosamine increases the production of the cartilage matrix and provides nonspecific protection, including against NSAIDs and GCS. The drug has a moderate anti-inflammatory effect.

Chondroitin sodium sulfate, whether absorbed intact or as individual components, serves as an additional substrate for formation of the healthy cartilage matrix.

Stimulates the formation of proteoglycans and type II collagen and protects the cartilage matrix from enzymatic degradation (by inhibiting the activity of hyaluronidase) and from the damaging effects of free radicals; maintains the viscosity of synovial fluid, stimulates cartilage repair mechanisms and inhibits the activity of those enzymes (elastase, hyaluronidase) that break down cartilage. In the treatment of osteoarthritis it relieves the symptoms of the disease and reduces the need for NSAIDs.

In the treatment of osteoarthritis, it relieves the symptoms of the disease and reduces the need for NSAIDs.

Pregnancy

Not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, severe renal dysfunction.

With caution: bleeding or tendency to bleeding, bronchial asthma, diabetes mellitus.

Side Effects

Glucosamine: mild gastrointestinal dysfunction is possible (epigastric pain, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation), dizziness, allergic skin reactions.
Chondroitin: allergic reactions.

Interaction

Increases the absorption of tetracyclines, reduces the effect of semisynthetic penicillins. The drug is compatible with NSAIDs and GCS.

Overdose

Symptoms: cases of overdose are unknown.

Treatment: gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions
