Pharmacological properties

Preparation based on hypertonic sterile sea water solution is used for therapeutic, preventive and hygienic purposes to cleanse, relieve irritation and protect the throat mucosa.

Microelements contained in the preparation increase resistance of the throat mucous membrane to pathogenic bacteria and viruses and contribute to increase local immunity.

Indications

for the prevention and complex treatment of acute and chronic, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat (tonsillitis, adenoiditis, pharyngitis, laryngitis);
for the prevention and complex treatment of acute respiratory viral infections (including for pregnant women and during lactation);
patients suffering from dryness of the mucous membrane of the posterior wall of the pharynx due to increased dryness or air pollution (central heating, air conditioning) in order to preserve the physiological characteristics of the mucous membrane of the throat in altered microclimatic conditions.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The drug is based on a hypertonic sterile solution of sea water and is used for therapeutic, prophylactic and hygienic purposes to cleanse, relieve irritation and protect the mucous membrane of the throat.

The microelements included in the drug increase the resistance of the throat mucosa to pathogenic bacteria and viruses and help increase local immunity.

Composition

Spray for topical use

100% sterile hypertonic solution of Adriatic Sea water, with natural salts and trace elements.

Does not contain preservatives.

Presence of ions:

Sodium (Na+) – not less than 7.50 mg/ml;

Calcium (Ca2+) – not less than 0.25 mg/ml;

Potassium (K+) – not less than 0.20 mg/ml;

Magnesium (Mg2+) – not less than 1.00 mg/ml;

Chlorides (Cl¯) – not less than 16.50 mg/ml;

Sulfates (SO4 2-) – not less than 1.80 mg/ml;

Hydrocarbonates (HCO3¯) – not less than 0.10 mg/ml;

Bromides (Br¯) – not less than 0.04 mg/ml.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction

The drug does not have a systemic effect on the body; no interactions with other drugs have been noted.

Can be used with other medications used to treat inflammatory diseases of the throat.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been reported.
