An anticoagulant agent, heparinoid. It has antiaggregant, antithrombotic, angioprotective, hypolipidemic and fibrinolytic effect.

The active ingredient is an extract from the mucous membrane of small intestine of animals, it is a natural mixture of fast-moving heparin-like fraction (80%) and dermatan-sulfate (20%).

Suppresses activated factor X, increases the synthesis and secretion of prostacyclin (prostaglandin PgI2), reduces the concentration of plasma fibrinogen. Increases the concentration of the activator of tissue profibrinolysin (plasminogen) in blood and decreases the blood concentration of its inhibitor.

The mechanism of angioprotective action is associated with restoration of structural and functional integrity of vascular endothelial cells, as well as the normal density of the negative electric charge of pores of the basal membrane of vessels. Normalizes rheological properties of blood by reducing TG and decreasing blood viscosity.

The efficacy of use in diabetic nephropathy is determined by reduction of basal membrane thickness and decrease of matrix production due to decrease of mesangium cell proliferation.

Angiopathy with an increased risk of thrombosis, including:
After a myocardial infarction.
Cerebral circulatory disorders, including the acute period of ischemic stroke and the period of early recovery.
Discirculatory encephalopathy caused by:
Atherosclerosis.
Diabetes mellitus.
Arterial hypertension.
Vascular dementia.
Occlusive lesions of peripheral arteries, including:
Atherosclerotic origin.
Diabetic origin.
Phlebopathy, deep vein thrombosis.
Microangiopathies:

Special instructions

When using sulodexide, the state of the blood coagulation system (coagulogram) should be regularly monitored.

It is not recommended to use anticoagulants (direct and indirect) and antiplatelet agents simultaneously.

Excipients:

glyceryl caprylocaprate (Miglyol 812),

sodium lauryl sulfate,

colloidal silicon dioxide.

Composition of the capsule shell:

gelatin, glycerol, sodium ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate, red iron oxide dye (E 172).

Pregnancy

The drug is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).

Contraindications

Hemorrhagic diathesis and other diseases accompanied by decreased blood clotting.
Hypersensitivity to sulodexide or any other components included in the drug.
Pregnancy.
Lactation period.
Children’s age (due to lack of clinical experience).

Side Effects

From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, pain in the epigastric region.

Other: skin rash.

Interaction

It is not recommended to use anticoagulants (direct and indirect) and antiplatelet agents simultaneously.
