Adaptol is an anxiolytic. It eliminates or reduces anxiety, worry, fear, internal emotional tension and irritability. The calming effect is not accompanied by myorelaxation and impairment of movement coordination.

Does not reduce mental and motor activity, so Adaptol can be used during the working day or study. Does not create an elevated mood, a sense of euphoria.

It does not have sleeping pills, but increases the effect of sleeping pills and improves the course of sleep in case of sleep disorders.

Adaptol eases or relieves nicotine withdrawal.

In addition to its calming effect, it has a nootropic effect. In clinical studies it has been found that Adaptol increases logicality, coherence and speed of thinking, improves attention and mental performance without stimulating the symptoms of productive psychopathological disorders: delirium, pathological emotional activity.

How to take, the dosage

Adaptol should be taken orally regardless of meals, 500 mg 2-3 times a day.

The maximum single dose is 3 g, the daily dose is 10 g.

The duration of the course of treatment is from a few days to 2-3 months.

If the next dose is not taken in time, the course of treatment is continued in the previously prescribed doses.

Interaction

Adaptol can be combined with neuroleptics, tranquilizers (benzodiazepines), sleeping pills, antidepressants and psychostimulants.

Special Instructions

Adaptol penetrates well into all tissues and body fluids.

There are insufficient data on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation, so it is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women.

Influence on the ability to drive motor vehicles has not been noted.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.

Side effects

When using Adaptol in high doses: allergic reactions and dyspeptic symptoms are possible (the drug should be stopped), lowering of blood pressure and body temperature (normalize on their own).

Overdose

Adaptol is mildly toxic.

In case of significant overdose, generally accepted methods of detoxification should be performed, including gastric lavage.

Pregnancy use

Adaptol penetrates well into all tissues and body fluids.

There are not enough clinical observations about the use of the drug in pregnancy and during lactation (breastfeeding), so it is not recommended to prescribe the drug to this category of patients.
