Indications
Skin and mucous membrane infections caused by Herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, genital herpes, herpes zoster, varicella.

How to take, the dosage
Externally. The drug is applied 5 times a day (every 4 hours) in a thin layer on the affected and bordering skin areas.
Interaction
When used externally, no interaction with other drugs was found.
Special Instructions
To achieve maximum therapeutic effect it is necessary to start using the drug as soon as possible after the onset of infection (at the first signs of the disease: burning, itching, tingling, a feeling of tension and redness). In the treatment of genital herpes, sexual intercourse should be avoided or condoms used, as the use of acyclovir does not prevent transmission to partners.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir and other components of the drug.
With caution – pregnancy, lactation, dehydration, renal failure.
Side effects
Hyperemia, dryness, skin peeling; burning, inflammation in contact with mucous membranes.
Pregnancy use
Adequate and controlled clinical safety studies of the drug during pregnancy have not been conducted.
The use is indicated only when the estimated benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.
Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.
