Aceclofenac, 100 mg 20 pcs

Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent derived from phenylacetic acid. Aceclofenac has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic effects, which are associated with inhibition of cyclooxygenase 1 and 2, which regulate prostaglandin production.

Indications

Neck pain, Osteoarthritis, Muscle pain (myalgia), Lumbago, Myalgia (muscle pain), Arthrosis and arthritis, Sciatica, Back pain, Joint pain (arthralgia)

The drug is prescribed:

• as part of the complex treatment of inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid, psoriatic and juvenile arthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis or spondylitis);
• to control pain and inflammation in rheumatism, toothache, brachial spondylitis.

The use of Aceclofenac is not able to completely cure these diseases, but quickly reduces inflammation and pain.

How to take, the dosage

The tablets are prescribed orally. Depending on the disease and age of the patient, 100 to 200 mg of the drug per day is prescribed. 100 mg at a time, whole, without separating or chewing, drinking plenty of fluids.

Oternally. The substance in an ointment or cream is applied in a thin layer gently to the area of inflammation 3 times a day. After using the drug it is recommended to wash hands thoroughly with soap and water and avoid getting it in the eyes.

Interaction

Anticoagulants in combination with pills increase the risk of bleeding. During treatment, it is recommended to periodically monitor blood clotting parameters.

Aceclofenac tablets increase the plasma concentration of digoxin, phenytoin, lithium-based drugs.

The substance, when combined with antihypertensives and diuretics, reduces the effectiveness of the latter.

Combination of the drug with potassium-saving diuretics increases the possibility of hyperkalemia.

The drug should be combined with NSAIDs and glucocorticosteroids with caution; the drug increases the toxicity of methotrexate and cyclosporine.

Aspirin reduces the plasma concentration of Aceclofenac.

Combination of the drug with hypoglycemic drugs requires continuous monitoring of blood glucose levels.

Special Instructions

As a precautionary measure during treatment with the drug, minimum effective and active dosages are recommended. Periodic monitoring of liver and kidney function, peripheral blood count, fecal status (absence of blood), cardiovascular function are also indicated.

Do not drive a car or perform potentially dangerous activities during treatment.

The risk of allergies or skin reactions is higher in the first months of taking the drug. If lesions of the mouth, skin rashes, or other signs of allergy occur, therapy must be discontinued.

The process of platelet suppression during treatment with the drug is reversible, the blood composition normalizes some time after discontinuation of the drug.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated:

• when allergic to the active substance;
• patients with ulcers and erosions in the GI tract, during exacerbation;
• in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis;
• If there is suspicion of gastrointestinal bleeding;
• in severe liver disease and liver failure;
• pregnant women;
• patients with disorders of hematopoiesis or blood clotting disorders;
• when nursing
• in case of renal insufficiency, hyperkalemia, advanced renal disease
• children under 18 years old
• when nursing

.During recovery after coronary artery bypass grafting;

• in the “aspirin triad”
• persons suffering from severe heart failure.

Caution should be exercised:

• with moderate to mild kidney, gastrointestinal and liver disease;
• if the patient has Helicobacter bacterium in the GI tract;
• with bronchial asthma;
• People with low blood pressure
• After major surgery if the volume of circulating blood is reduced
• Ischemia
• Elderly people
• patients with cerebrovascular disease;
• diabetes mellitus;
• after long-term treatment with NSAIDs;
• alcoholics and smokers;
• with severe somatic diseases;
• patients with hemostasis defects;
• in systemic lupus erythematosus;
• in combination with anticoagulants, serotonin reuptake inhibitors,antiaggregants.

The ointment or cream should not be applied to damaged skin.

Side effects

At the time of treatment with Aceclofenac, it is common to see:

• dizziness, nausea, abnormalities in the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal pain, indigestion, diarrhea;
• increased activity of liver enzymes, allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes and itching.

Rarely developed:

• anemia, anaphylactic reactions, decreased visual acuity;
• increased blood pressure, heart failure, shortness of breath;
• increased blood creatinine and urea concentrations;
• constipation, mouth ulcers, increased gas, gastritis, vomiting;
• gastric ulcer, melena, hemorrhoids;
• dermatitis, itching, Quincke’s edema, urticaria.

It is very rare:

• muscle spasms, weakness and feeling of fatigue, weight gain, hyperkalemia, eczema;
• renal failure, nephrotic syndrome, nephritis;
• granulocytopenia, neutropenia, disorders of hematopoiesis, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia;
• depression, vivid dreams and nightmares, sleep disturbances, vertigo, vasculitis;
• tremor, perversion of taste, drowsiness, paresthesias, tinnitus;
• intestinal obstruction, pancreatitis, ulcerative colitis, vomiting with blood;
• dermal hyperemia, hot flashes, tachycardia;
• bronchospasm, stomatitis, hepatitis.

Overdose

No cases of overdose of the drug in humans have been reported.

The symptoms of overdose are: headaches, seizures, vomiting, abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness. As therapy, enterosorbents are used, the stomach is flushed, symptomatic treatment is carried out. The drug has no specific antidote, hemodialysis and forced diuresis are ineffective.
