Suspension for medium and large breeds of dogs for the treatment and prevention of liver diseases. Complex hepatoprotector with essential phospholipids, natural royal jelly and herbal components for the treatment and prevention of liver diseases of various etiologies in dogs and cats. Appointed for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes in acute and chronic liver, gallbladder and biliary tract diseases of various origins, including fatty dystrophy and liver degeneration, intoxication, and as a preventive and restorative therapy after drug treatment. The drug significantly reduces the risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer, is used both independently and as part of comprehensive therapy. Indications

Hepatolux is prescribed to animals for prevention and treatment of acute and chronic liver diseases of various etiologies as part of complex therapy or as a monopreparation, for treatment of gall bladder diseases, biliary tract diseases of various genesis, fatty dystrophy and liver degeneration. The drug is effective in intoxication, infectious diseases, intestinal infestations, and is also used to reduce the risk of side effects of chemotherapy, antiparasitic and other drugs that have hepatotoxicity. Hepatolux is recommended for prophylactic treatment of the liver and bile ducts in animals at risk: neutered, spayed, obese and sedentary animals as well as in aging animals to reduce the risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer. The use of Hepatolux does not exclude the use of other drugs for specific and symptomatic therapy.

Composition

A medicinal product containing 1 ml of the active ingredients: phospholipids essential (lecithin) of plant origin from soybean seeds – 100 mg, methionine – 140 mg, glycyrrhizic acid salt – 25 mg, glycine – 20 mg, L-arginine – 100 mg, milk thistle extract (silymarin) – 30 mg, artichoke leaf extract – 40 mg, royal jelly extract – 2 mg and auxiliary components.

How to take, the dosage

Shake the bottle with suspension thoroughly before use. Hepatolux is administered orally individually while feeding the dog at a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight 2 times daily or directly injected into the cheek area using a syringe dispenser. The course of application is 20-30 days depending on individual peculiarities of the organism and nature of the disease course. If necessary, on the instructions of the veterinarian drug administration can be resumed after 10 days. In the chronic course of the disease the course of treatment shall be repeated several times a year.

Directions for use

The drug is administered during feeding 2 times a day, individually, orally, using a syringe dispenser or given with a small amount of favorite foods at the rate of 1 ml of suspension per 10 kg of animal weight, for 20-30 days, depending on the individual characteristics of the body and the nature of the course of the disease. If necessary, as directed by the veterinarian, the treatment is repeated after 15-20 days. Hepatolux is compatible with drugs and feed additives.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the drug components.  It is not recommended to administer to animals with hepatic encephalopathy and severe renal failure.
