Fungin® Forte (spray), 30 ml

The drug is used for treatment of fungal skin diseases, eczema of fungal etiology and seborrheic dermatitis in dogs and cats.

It is used in treatment of skin diseases caused by fungi, particularly:

– Lichens and scabies caused by dermatophytes (trichophytosis, microsporia).
– Seborrheic dermatitis.
– Eczema of fungal nature.

In severe cases Fungin Forte is used in combination therapy – simultaneously prescribing medicines of systemic action, vitamins and special care products.

Features and advantages:
– A pronounced antimicrobial action, destroying the cell wall of the fungus, disrupting the process of nucleus division and inhibiting its reproductive ability, effective even in severe cases of fungus infection.
– Metronidazole provides antibacterial action.
– Effective analgesic, fast relief of inflammations and swellings, healing of scabs.
– No toxic and irritating action.
– It has no allergic effect on the fetus.

– In case of local application the active substances molecules are accumulated in the stratum corneum, in hair bags and sebaceous glands. Therapeutic effect is achieved due to the action of the main components:
– Terbinafine – depending on concentration it displays fungicidal or fungistatic effect. Due to high lipophilicity terbinafina molecules accumulate in the stratum corneum of the dermis, hair follicles, sebaceous glands. When applied topically, the drug penetrates into the systemic bloodstream to a small extent. The substance causes accumulation of harmful compounds in the cells of pathogens and death of fungi.
– Thiabendazole – active against dermatophytes. The mechanism of action is to disrupt the synthesis in fungal cells of nutrients and destruction of the cell wall. The substance destroys fungi and prevents their reproduction.
– Metronidazole – effectively destroys bacteria. It is included to prevent secondary skin infections in sores and rashes.
– Dexamethasone – a synthetic hormonal drug that has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect. It reduces hypersensitivity of the body to allergies by suppressing excessive immune reaction (in this case skin) and reduces the risk of rough scarring of damaged areas. The mechanism of action is to inhibit the activity of various tissue-damaging enzymes and inflammatory mediators.
– Lidocaine – local anesthetic, blocks the conduction of the pain impulse along the nerve fibers to the brain.
Auxiliary substances in the composition contribute to better absorption of the active components, as well as have a healing and disinfecting action.

Composition

Terbinafine hydrochloride, thiabendazole, metronidazole, lidocaine hydrochloride, dexamethasone sodium phosphate, excipients up to 1 ml.

How to take, the dosage

Fungin Forte is applied with a thin layer with a cotton-gauze swab as well as by spraying or directly to the skin from a dropper bottle, lightly rubbing into the affected areas from the periphery to the center, taking up to 1 cm of the border healthy skin.
Treatments are carried out 1 – 2 times a day for not more than 15 days until clinical recovery, which is confirmed by microscopic examination of skin scrapings.
