Liquid loss with sweat, respiration and feces occurs regardless of fluid administration. Maintenance of adequate hydration requires 30-45 ml/kg/day of water in adults, and 45-100 ml/kg in children, 100-165 ml/kg in infants.

Injection water serves for the preparation of infusion and injection solutions, providing optimal conditions for the compatibility and effectiveness of substrates and water.

Indications

Injection water is used as a carrier or diluting solution for the preparation of sterile infusion (injection) solutions from powders, lyophilisates and concentrates.

Injection water is used for the preparation of sterile solutions including for p/k, c/m, intravenous administration.

Outwardly to wash wounds and moisten the dressing material.

How to take, the dosage

The dose and speed of administration must comply with the instructions on the dosage of diluted drugs.

The preparation of drug solutions using water for injection must be carried out under sterile conditions (opening ampoules, filling the syringe and containers with drugs).

Special Instructions

Injection water cannot be directly injected intravascularly due to low osmotic pressure (risk of hemolysis!).

Contraindications

In case a different solvent is indicated for the preparation of the drug solution.
