Venarus® has angioprotective and venotonic action.

It reduces the stretching of veins, increases their tone and reduces venous stasis; reduces capillary permeability and fragility and increases their resistance; improves microcirculation and lymphatic flow.

When used systematically it reduces clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of lower limbs of organic and functional nature.

The optimal dose-effect ratio is observed when taking 1000 mg per day.

Indications

Venarus® is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of chronic vein disease (elimination and relief of symptoms).

The therapy of symptoms of venous and lymphatic insufficiency:

– cramping of the lower extremities;

– feeling of heaviness and tumescence in the legs;

– pain;

– “tired” legs.

The therapy of manifestations of veno-lymphatic insufficiency:

– edema of the lower extremities;

– trophic changes in the skin and subcutaneous tissue;

– venous trophic ulcers.

Symptomatic therapy of acute and chronic hemorrhoids.

Active ingredient

Composition

1 tablet contains:

hesperidin (in terms of 100% substance) 100 mg,

diosmin (in terms of 100% substance) 900 mg;

Associates:

microcrystalline cellulose 124 mg,

sodium carboxymethyl starch (sodium starch glycolate) 54 mg,

Hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose 41.4 mg, macrogol 6000 (polyethylene glycol 6000) 6.76 mg, sodium lauryl sulfate 0.2 mg, magnesium stearate 2.48 mg, titanium dioxide 7.88 mg, iron oxide red 0.6 mg, iron oxide yellow 0.68 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion.

The recommended dose for veno-lymphatic insufficiency is 1 tablet per day, preferably in the morning, with meals. The rickey on the tablet is intended solely to be divided to make it easier to swallow.

The duration of treatment may be several months (up to 12 months). If symptoms recur, the course of treatment may be repeated at the doctor’s recommendation.

The recommended dose for acute hemorrhoids is 3 tablets per day (1 tablet in the morning, afternoon and evening) for 4 days, then 2 tablets per day (1 tablet in the morning and evening) for the next 3 days.

The recommended dose for chronic hemorrhoids is 1 tablet a day.

Interaction

It has not been noted.

The attending physician should be informed of all medications taken.

Special Instructions

Consultation with your doctor is recommended before taking Venarus®. In case of exacerbation of hemorrhoids, prescription of Venarus® does not replace specific treatment of other anal disorders. The duration of treatment should not exceed the periods indicated in section “Dosage and administration”. If symptoms do not disappear after the recommended course of therapy, you should be examined by a proctologist, who will select further therapy.

In the presence of venous circulatory disorders, the maximum effect of treatment is achieved by a combination of therapy with a healthy (balanced) lifestyle: it is advisable to avoid long periods of exposure to the sun, prolonged exposure to the sun, and reduction of excessive body weight. Walking and, in some cases, wearing special stockings helps to improve blood circulation.

Features

The main excretion of the drug occurs through the intestine. Through the kidneys on average about 14% of the drug intake is excreted.

The elimination half-life is 11 hours.

The drug Venarus® undergoes active metabolism that is confirmed by the presence of phenolic acids in the urine.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or excipients in the drug.

The drug is not recommended for women during breastfeeding.

Side effects

The incidence of adverse reactions is presented as follows: very frequently (≥1/10 cases), frequently (≥1/100 and <1/10 cases), infrequently (≥1/1000 and <1/100 cases), rarely (≥1/10000 and <1/1000 cases) and very rarely (<1/10000 cases). Unwanted reactions, the incidence of which cannot be estimated from available data, are designated as “frequency unknown”.

Central nervous system disorders: rarely – dizziness, headache, general malaise.

Gastrointestinal tract: frequent – diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting; infrequent – colitis; frequency unknown – abdominal pain.

Skin: rare – rash, itching, urticaria; frequency unknown – isolated edema of the face, lips, eyelids, in exceptional cases angioedema.

If any of the adverse reactions mentioned in the instructions worsen, or if you notice other adverse reactions not mentioned in the instructions, tell your doctor.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been described.

In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately.
