Valoserdin is a combined medicine, the therapeutic effect of which is due to the pharmacological properties of its constituent components. It has sedative and antispasmodic effects.
Phenobarbital has sedative and mild sleeping pills. It helps to reduce CNS agitation and facilitates the onset of natural sleep, increasing the sedative effect of the other components.
Ethylbromisovalerianate also has a sedative (similar to the effect of valerian) and antispasmodic effect.

Overly, before meals, dissolved in a small amount (30-50 ml) of water. Adults are usually prescribed 15-20 drops 3 times a day. In case of tachycardia single dose may be increased up to 40-50 drops.

Interaction
Simultaneous use with neuroleptics and tranquilizers increases the effect of each component of the drug, and with CNS stimulants – weakens it.
Alcohol increases the effects of Valoserdin and may increase its toxicity.
The presence of phenobarbital in the composition may induce liver enzymes, and this makes it undesirable to use it simultaneously with drugs that are metabolized in the liver, because their concentration, and therefore their effectiveness will be reduced due to more rapid metabolism (indirect anticoagulants, antibiotics, sulfonamides).
Phenobarbital attenuates the effects of coumarin derivatives, GCS, griseofulvin, oral contraceptives.
