How to take, the dosage

About 9 g (1 tablespoon) of valerian rhizomes with roots are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover and heat on a boiling water bath with periodic stirring for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the remaining raw material.

The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiling water to 200 ml.

The drug is taken orally 30 minutes after a meal. Adults – 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day, children over 12 years – 1 tablespoon 2-3 times a day, children from 7 to 12 years – 1 dessert spoon 2-3 times a day, children from 3 to 7 years – 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day.
It is recommended to shake the infusion before drinking.

3 filter bag (4.5 g) was placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and infused for 15 minutes, occasionally pressing down on the bags with a spoon, then they squeeze. The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiled water to 100 ml.

Interaction

The drug increases the effect of sleeping pills and other drugs that depress the central nervous system.

Special Instructions

Long-term use of the drug in high doses may decrease psychomotor reactions – care should be taken when driving vehicles, operating machinery, etc.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to valerian preparations.

Side effects

Perhaps lethargy, weakness (especially when used in high doses), with prolonged use – constipation.

In isolated cases allergic reactions are possible.
