The drug is of plant origin, has sedative and antispasmodic (against the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract) action.
Facilitates the onset of natural sleep. Sedation is slow but fairly stable.
It also has a choleretic effect, increases the secretion of gastrointestinal glands.

The use of the drug is contraindicated in the I trimester of pregnancy.

The use of the drug in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy and during lactation is possible if the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus and child. A physician should be consulted.
