Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics/p>
Troxevasinâ Neo is a combination drug for topical use, the pharmacological action of which is due to its constituent substances.
Troxerutin is an angioprotective agent. It is a flavonoid (derivative of rutin) and its pharmacological properties are connected with participation of troxerutin in redox processes and inhibition of hyaluronidase, which stabilizes hyaluronidase of cell membranes, decreases capillary permeability and fragility; troxerutin prevents damage of basal membrane of endothelial cells when it is exposed to various factors, reduces exudative inflammation in the vascular wall, limiting platelet adhesion to its surface; has P-vitamin activity: Has venotonic, venoprotective, anti-edema, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulation and antioxidant effect; increases capillary tone, increases the density of the vascular wall. Helps normalize microcirculation and tissue trophism, reduces congestion.
Heparin is a direct-acting anticoagulant and a natural anticoagulant. It prevents thrombosis, activates the fibrinolytic properties of the blood and improves local blood flow. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, promotes regeneration of connective tissue due to inhibition of hyaluronidase activity.
Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) in the skin is converted into pantothenic acid, a member of coenzyme A, which plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation. By improving metabolic processes dexpanthenol promotes regeneration of damaged tissues; it improves absorption of heparin.
Pharmacokinetics
In topical application the active ingredients are quickly absorbed by the skin.
Heparin accumulates in the upper layers and actively binds to skin proteins. When applied topically, a small amount of heparin penetrates into the systemic bloodstream without having a systemic effect and does not cause any changes in blood clotting parameters. It does not penetrate through the placental barrier.
Dexpanthenol penetrates all layers of the skin and is converted into pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin). Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body and is excreted unchanged.
Troxerutin after 30 minutes is found in the dermis, and after 2-5 hours in the subcutaneous fat tissue. Penetration of troxerutin into the systemic bloodstream is clinically insignificant.

How to take, the dosage
Used externally!
Unless otherwise advised by a doctor, a 1-3 cm strip of gel (depending on the surface area affected) is applied in a thin layer to the affected area twice a day in the morning and evening, spreading evenly over the skin surface with gentle rubbing movements until completely absorbed. If necessary, the gel can be applied under bandages or elastic stockings.
The success of treatment with the drug depends to a large extent on its regular application over a long period of time. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. The need for longer treatment is determined by the attending physician.
