Patients with diabetes mellitus and those on a low-carbohydrate diet should take into account that one teaspoon of the drug contains about 3.48 g of sucrose (0.29 XE), one dessert spoon contains about 6.96 g of sucrose (0.58 XE), and one tablespoon contains about 10.44 g of sucrose (0.87 XE).

The alcohol content in the preparation ranges from 8.5 to 11.5%.

In a single dose of the drug, the maximum content of absolute alcohol (ethanol) is:

in children from 3 to 6 years old – about 0.23 g; from 6 to 12 years – about 0.45 g; from 12 to 18 years – about 0.91 g;

in adults – about 1.36 g.

In a daily dose of the drug, the maximum content of absolute alcohol (ethanol) is:

in children from 3 to 6 years old – about 0.68 g; from 6 to 12 years – about 1.36 g; from 12 to 18 years – about 2.72 g;

in adults – about 4.08 g.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles. Wed and fur.:

During the period of treatment with the drug, you should refrain from performing potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, working as a dispatcher and operator).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during exacerbation, alcoholism, epilepsy, liver diseases, traumatic brain injury, brain diseases, sucrase/isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, pregnancy and breastfeeding, age up to 3 years. With caution:

Diabetes mellitus; persons on a low-carbohydrate diet; children over 3 years of age.

Interaction

It should not be used simultaneously with drugs containing antitussive drugs, as this makes it difficult to separate liquefied sputum.

Overdose

With long-term use in doses exceeding the recommended ones, phenomena of “bromism” are possible: rhinitis, cough, conjunctivitis, lethargy, memory loss, apathy, skin rash; nausea, vomiting.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Recommendations for use

Inside, after eating.

Children from 3 to 6 years old – 1/2 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Children from 6 to 12 years old – 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Teenagers from 12 to 18 years old – 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day.

Adults – 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.

The average course of treatment is 10-14 days. Repeated courses of treatment are possible after consultation with the doctor.
