Thealoz-Duo Eye Protection Moisturizing and Lubricating Solution 10 ml, 10 ml

The main ingredients of Tealose-Duo are trehalose (a disaccharide found in many plants as well as animals) and sodium hyaluronate (a polysaccharide normally found in the eye).

Trehalose has protective and stabilizing properties against cell membranes, preventing protein denaturation and lipid degradation.

Trehalose protects organisms from various stress factors such as dryness, freezing and osmotic pressure.

Sodium hyaluronate is a polysaccharide with water retention properties that provides a high degree of moisture and lubrication to the corneal surface. In addition, the bioadhesive characteristics provide a high degree of product adherence to the ocular surface, which creates a long-lasting effect and shortens the recovery time of the corneal epithelium.

With a combination of trehalose and sodium hyaluronate, Thealoz-Duo protects, moisturizes and lubricates the ocular surface over the long term and provides a quick sense of comfort.

Indications

Designated for use in all patients with symptoms of dry eye or eye discomfort, including contact lens users.

Composition

for 100 ml:

trehalose 3.00, sodium hyaluronate 0.150, sodium chloride 0.260, tromethamol 0.121, hydrochloric acid concentrated to pH 7.2, water for injections up to 100 ml.

How to take, the dosage

MAKING:

Wash hands thoroughly before using the product.

Do not touch eyes or eyelids with the tip of the bottle, especially if you have eye infections.

Place one drop into the lower conjunctival sac by gently pulling the lower eyelid down and looking up.

Shut the lid of the bottle after inserting the drops.

DOSING:

1 drop in each eye, 4-6 times daily.

Thealoz-Duo can be used when wearing contact lenses.

Interaction

A minimum of 10 minutes should be allowed between the use of two different ophthalmic solutions.

Special Instructions

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Do not touch eyes or eyelids with the tip of the bottle.

Do not inject or swallow.

Do not use if the bottle is damaged.

Do not use if the protective ring of the bottle is damaged before the first use.

DON’T use the product after the expiration date which is clearly marked on the package. The expiration date is valid for the product if the packaging is intact and storage conditions are met.

Synopsis

Thealoz-Duo is a sterile, hypotonic, neutral solution, without preservatives and without phosphates, which is a clear, colorless liquid in an ABAC vial filled to 5 or 10 ml.

System of sterilization: vial, cap, nozzle – ?- irradiation at 15.5 kGy. The solution is sterile, sterilized by filtration through a 0.2 µm cartridge filter before filling the vial. The medical device should not be used if the sterile packaging is compromised.

The ABAC system is an opaque low-density polyethylene vial with a high-density polyethylene cap and a high-density polyethylene nozzle in the neck. The nozzle includes a porous low-density polyethylene material and a 0.2 µm pore size sterilizing membrane that prevents any bacterial contamination of the solution. The solution is protected and can be used up to 3 months after opening the vial.

The ABAC bottle is suitable for multi-dose packaging of preservative-free ophthalmic solutions, avoiding toxic and allergenic effects on the cornea.

Thealoz-Duo is an ophthalmic solution for instilling directly into the eye or on contact lenses. Thealoz-Duo can be used for eye discomfort, burning or irritation. These symptoms can be caused by external factors such as wind, smoke, pollution in the environment, dust, exposure to sunlight or cold, dry heat, air conditioning, airplane travel, prolonged work at the computer.

Since Thealoz-Duo contains no preservatives, it is well tolerated by the user. The solution can be used by contact lens wearers of any type and provides immediate eye comfort that lasts throughout the day.
