Tereflex Chondrokrem Forte, cream 100 g

Theraflex^® Chondrocream Forte has a combined effect: it slows down the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis, has analgesic effect, helps increase joint movement (in the application area of the cream), has anti-inflammatory effect, reduces joint swelling.

Because of the optimal combination of the components of the cream is mutually reinforcing their analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Chondroitin sulfate is a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide which is a natural component of cartilage tissue.

. Chondroitin sulfate improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage tissue, inhibits enzymes that cause cartilage damage, inhibits the degeneration (destruction) of cartilage tissue, stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, promotes regeneration (restoration) of cartilage surfaces of joints, accelerates their reparation processes, prevents collapse of connective tissue. This results in decreased pain and increased mobility of the affected joints.

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent and has anti-inflammatory, analgesic action. Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, disrupts the metabolism of arachidonic acid, reduces the amount of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the focus of inflammation.

Meloxicam is a chondroneutral drug and has no adverse effect on cartilage tissue, does not affect the synthesis of proteoglycan by chondrocytes of articular cartilage.

Indications

The drug is recommended for use in the treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis of the spine, other joint diseases, accompanied by pain.

Active ingredient

Composition

Active ingredients:

Chondroitin sulfate sodium – 50 mg,

Meloxicam – 10 mg.

Auxiliary substances:

dimethyl sulfoxide – 100 mg,

propylene glycol – 100 mg,

macrogoal cetostearate – 12 mg,

cetostearyl alcohol [cetyl alcohol not more than 60%, stearyl alcohol not less than 40%] – 42 mg,

liquid paraffin – 100 mg,

Vaseline – 80 mg,

imidourea – 3 mg,

sodium disulfite – 0.5 mg,

water – up to 1.00 g.

Interaction

In cases of interaction or incompatibility with other medicinal products have not been described.

Directions for use

Externally. Lightly rub a strip of cream 1 to 5 cm long, the frequency of application – 2-3 times a day.

The amount of the drug required depends on the size of the painful area.

Wash hands thoroughly after applying the drug.

The duration of treatment depends on the indication and the effect noted.

After 2 weeks of use, a doctor should be consulted.

Special Instructions

The drug should be applied only to intact skin, avoiding contact with open wounds. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Physician should be consulted before combined use with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as well as when the drug is to be used for more than 2 weeks.

Impact on driving and operating ability

The drug does not cause sedation, psychomotor disorders and does not affect the patient’s ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased attention and rapid mental and motor reaction.

Synopsis

The cream is light yellow with a greenish hue to yellow with a greenish hue with an odor of dimethyl sulfoxide.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (as well as to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), violation of the integrity of the skin in the areas of intended application, children (under 12 years).

With caution

With impaired renal and hepatic function, with marked gastrointestinal tract pathology (acute ulcer disease), with marked pathology of the blood system, advanced age.

Side effects

Allergic skin reactions (itching, redness, skin rash) are possible.

If any side effects occur, stop using the cream and see a doctor.

Overdose

The extremely low systemic absorption of the active ingredients of the drug when applied topically makes overdose almost impossible.
