How to take, the dosage

Outwardly – to rinse and lubricate the skin 2-3 times a day.

Topically – for irrigation and lubrication of the oral mucosa. Lubricate the affected areas of the oral mucosa 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 3-7 days.

When treating vaginal candidiasis (thrush) before using the drug it is necessary to use a syringe with boiled water or chamomile solution and then a sponge dipped in the drug is inserted into the vagina for 20-30 minutes. The frequency of use and course of treatment depend on the severity of the disease.

In case of minor discharge and itching the drug is used once a day, preferably at night and in case of profuse discharge the drug is used 2 times a day (morning and evening) for 7 days.

Side effects

Local reactions: Hyperemia and burning sensation at the application site.

Long-term use may cause symptoms of chronic intoxication:

Digestive system: anorexia, gastrointestinal disorders.

CNS side: weakness, confusion, seizure attacks.

Dermatological reactions: dermatitis, alopecia.

Others: menstrual disorders, anemia.

Overdose

Overdose is possible if the drug is accidentally taken orally.

Symptoms: abdominal pain vomiting decreased appetite diarrhea dehydration weakness confusion dermatitis menstrual disorders anemia twitching muscles of the face and limbs alopecia impaired heart function liver kidney. Lethal dose for adults – 10 – 20 g toxic concentration in blood – 40 mg/l lethal – 50 mg/l.

Treatment: gastric lavage forced diuresis in severe poisoning – hemodialysis in/m – riboflavin mononucleotide 10 mg/day correction of water-electrolyte balance and acidosis: intravenous infusion of sodium hydrocarbonate solution plasma exchange solutions sodium chloride solution and dextrose. In case of abdominal pain – p/k 1 ml 01 % atropine solution 1 ml 02 % platifylline solution 1 ml 1 % promedol solution v/v – dextrose-procaine mixture (50 ml 2 % procaine solution and 500 ml 5 % dextrose solution). Maintenance of CPS functions.
