Sodium chloride Has a detoxifying and rehydrating effect.

It replenishes sodium deficiency in various pathological conditions. Sodium chloride 0.9% solution isotonic to human plasma and therefore is quickly eliminated from the vascular bed, only temporarily increasing the BOD (effectiveness in case of blood loss and shock is insufficient).

Indications

hypochloremia and hyponatremia with dehydration;
intestinal obstruction;
intoxication;
large losses of extracellular fluid or insufficient supply (toxic dyspepsia, cholera, diarrhea, “uncontrollable” vomiting, extensive burns with severe exudation, etc.);
washing wounds, eyes, nasal mucosa, dissolving and diluting drugs and moisturizing dressings.

Contraindications

hyperchloremia;
hypokalemia;
hypernatremia;
acidosis;
extracellular hyperhydration;
intracellular dehydration;
circulatory disorders that threaten cerebral and pulmonary edema;
cerebral edema;
pulmonary edema;
acute left ventricular failure;
concomitant administration of large doses of corticosteroids.

With caution:

renal failure;
heart failure;
oligo- and anuria.

Side Effects

Acidosis, overhydration, hypokalemia.

Storage conditions

In a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
