Pharmacodynamics

Antimicrobial agent for topical and external use.

It has a broad spectrum of action, is active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria (including antibiotic-resistant strains), yeast and mycelial (mold) fungi.

When used in therapeutic doses it has a bacteriostatic effect.

The mechanism of action is caused by inhibition of bacterial nuclease, disruption of cell membrane permeability, division membranes and change of nucleotide structure.

Pharmacokinetics

The action of the drug is the combined action of its components, so kinetic observations are not possible; all components together cannot be traced by markers or bioassays.

Indications

For prevention:

purulent-inflammatory skin diseases in newborns; wound infection in surgical patients.

For treatment:

infectious and inflammatory skin diseases of bacterial and fungal etiology (including Candida albicans);
in dentistry: for periodontitis, aphthous stomatitis, ulcerative-necrotizing gingivostomatitis and other lesions of the oral cavity;
in otorhinolaryngology: for diseases of the middle ear and external auditory canal;
in surgery: for infected burns, long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers;
in gynecology: for endocervicitis, colpitis, vaginitis, cervical erosion;
in dermatology: for pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis, dermatomycosis

Special instructions

The drug should not come into contact with the eyes. If Sangviritrin gets into your eyes, rinse them with plenty of water.

For long-term non-healing wounds and ulcers, endocervicitis, colpitis, vaginitis, cervical erosions, pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis and dermatomycosis (including those complicated by mixed flora), the combined use of Sangviritrin solutions in combination with liniment (1% or 5%), which is prescribed in the form of bandages or lubrication of the lesion, is possible defeats.

Use for liver dysfunction

Contraindicated in liver diseases accompanied by dysfunction.

Use for renal impairment

Contraindications

Fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes with symptoms of eczema.
Liver diseases accompanied by dysfunction.
Kidney diseases accompanied by dysfunction.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions: local manifestations (skin hyperemia).

When rinsing and lubricating the mucous membranes of the oral cavity with an aqueous solution of the drug: a feeling of bitterness in the mouth.

When applying Sangviritrin to the wound surface: a short-term burning sensation (in these cases, the drug is used in lower concentrations).

Interaction

Simultaneous use of Sangviritrin with local anesthetic agents is possible.

Overdose

Symptoms: possible increased side effects of the drug.

Treatment: if necessary, carry out symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions

Store in a place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
