Inhibits secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands.

Indications

Acne vulgaris, oily seborrhea, chronic eczema.

Special instructions

Do not apply the drug to birthmarks, warts, warts in the genital area or face.

In case of contact with mucous membranes, rinse the affected area with plenty of water.

Composition

Solution for external use alcohol 2% – salicylic acid – 20 g

Excipients:

ethanol 70%.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, renal failure; childhood; pregnancy and lactation period.

Side Effects

Individual intolerance and allergic reactions are possible; local reactions (burning, itching, hyperemia).

Interaction

Salicylic acid may increase skin permeability to other topical medications and thereby enhance their absorption.

Absorbed salicylic acid may increase the side effects of methotrexate and oral hypoglycemic drugs, sulfonylurea derivatives.

The solution is pharmaceutically incompatible with Resorcinol (forms melting mixtures) and zinc oxide (insoluble zinc salicylate).
