The active ingredient of the cream is metronidazole, which has antiparasitic and antimicrobial properties and is active against many pathogenic microorganisms.
Metronidazole is particularly effective against papulopustular inflammatory elements of rosacea.
The mechanism of action also appears to include an anti-inflammatory effect.
The drug is active against Gram-negative aerobic microorganisms: Helicobacter pylori; anaerobic microorganisms: Bacteroides fragilis, Bifidobacterium, Bilophila, Clostridium, Clostridium difficile, Clostridium perfringens, Eubacterium, Fusobacterium, Peptostreptococus, Prevotella, Prophyromonas, Veillonella; protozoa: Entamoeba histolytica, Glardia intestinalis, Tichomonas vaginalis.
The drug is resistant to: Gram-positive aerobic microorganisms – Actinomyces; anaerobic – Mobiluncus, Propionibacterium acnes.

Composition
The 100 g cream contains:
Metronidazole 0.75 g
Supplementary substances:
Benzyl alcohol,
isopropyl palmitate,
Glycerol,
Sorbitol 70% noncrystalline,
How to take, the dosage
Externally. Apply the cream thinly to previously cleansed affected skin twice a day in the morning and evening, avoiding contact of the cream with the mucous membranes of the eyes, lips and nose.
The average duration of treatment is 3 to 4 months.
Special Instructions
Use of Rosex Cream should be temporarily stopped or permanently discontinued if any undesirable effects develop.
Contact of the cream with mucous membranes should be avoided. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with warm water.
At the time of treatment, sunlight or artificial ultraviolet radiation should be avoided.
Contraindications
– Hypersensitivity.
– Pregnancy.
– Lactation period.
Overdose
Incidents of overdose have not been described.
Pregnancy use
Controlled clinical trials of the drug in pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted.
In animal studies it was found that the drug has no toxic effect on the fetus and does not cause malformations.
Rosex cream does not penetrate into the breast milk.
The use of Rozeks cream in pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the fetus.
