Retinol palmitate, 100000 me/ml 10 ml

Retinol palmitate is a replacer of vitamin A deficiency and regulates tissue metabolism.

In the skin it inhibits the processes of keratinization, increases the proliferation of epitheliocytes, rejuvenates cell populations, reduces the number of cells following the path of terminal differentiation. Its general action is conditioned by intensification of myelopoiesis, macrophages function, humoral and cellular immunity reactions which promotes activation of protective forces of the body.

Pharmacokinetics

It is absorbed from the intestine and deposited in the liver.

Active ingredient:

retinol palmitate 100,000 IU (1 drop of solution from a dropper or eye dropper contains 3,300 IU) 1 mg

retinol palmitate corresponds to 1,817 IU;

Auxiliary substances:

butylhydroxytoluene;

butylhydroxyanisole;

rape oil;

How to take, the dosage

Orally, after a meal in the early morning or late evening.

In avitaminosis of mild to moderate severity: adults – up to 33000 IU/day; children – 1000-5000 IU/day depending on age.

In case of eye disease (hemeralopia, xerophthalmia, retinitis pigmentosa): adults – 50,000-100,000 IU/day and 0.02 g riboflavin simultaneously.

In case of skin diseases: adults – 50000-100000 IU/day; in acne and ichthyosiform erythrodermia – 100000-300000 IU/day. Children are prescribed at the rate of 5,000-1,000 IU/kg/day.

In gastroenterology, 50000 IU daily.

The single dose of retinol palmitate for adults should not exceed 50,000 IU and for children 5,000 IU. Daily doses for adults are 100,000 IU and for children 20,000 IU.

Interaction

Estrogens and oral contraceptives containing them enhance absorption.

Corticosteroids and alcohol consumption decrease the therapeutic effect.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy (I trimester).

With caution: in nephritis, heart failure II-III degree, cholelithiasis, chronic pancreatitis.
