Pharmacodynamics

Hepatoprotective drug. Soy phospholipid extract consists of phosphatidylcholine and phosphoglycerides (on average 76%), with linoleic acid prevailing among the fatty acids. Hepatoprotective effect of the drug is due to accelerated regeneration of liver cells and stabilization of cell membranes, inhibition of lipid oxidation process and inhibition of collagen synthesis in the liver. The drug normalizes lipid metabolism, reducing cholesterol levels by increasing the formation of its esters and linoleic acid.

Pharmacokinetics

Pharmacokinetics studies of phosphatidylcholine showed that it is broken down in the intestine to lysophosphatidylcholine and is absorbed mainly in this same form. In the intestinal wall it is partially resynthesized to phospholipid, which then through the lymphatic vessels enters the circulatory channel, part of the lysophosphatidylcholine is broken down in the liver to fatty acids, choline and glycerol-3-phosphate.

In the plasma, phosphatidylcholine and other phosphoglycerides bind firmly to lipoproteins and/or albumin.

Most of the administered soy phospholipids with their high content of (3-sn-phosphatidyl)-choline combine as metabolites, with the body’s own phospholipids within a few hours. Their excretion corresponds to the excretion of the body’s own phospholipids or their metabolites.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is intended to be taken orally.

If not otherwise directed, take 2 capsules of Resalut® Pro 3 times daily before meals, without chewing and with plenty of fluid.

The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease.

Interaction

Incompatibilities are not known to date.

Special Instructions

One capsule of Rezalut® Pro contains less than 0.1 XU.

The effect on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms requiring increased concentration

It is not known.

Contraindications

With caution: children under 12 years.

Side effects

Digestive system disorders: sometimes there may be discomfort in the epigastric region, diarrhea.

Allergic reactions: in rare cases, skin rash, urticaria.

Hematopoietic system disorders: extremely rare – petechial rashes, bleeding in women during menstrual period.

Overdose

There have been no reports of overdose and intoxication with the drug to date.

Pregnancy use

There are no data on safety of the drug administration during pregnancy. Therefore, Rezalut® Pro should be used only if the expected benefits to the mother exceed the possible risk to the fetus.

There are no data on penetration of Rezalut® Pro into breast milk; therefore, if it is necessary to use Rezalut® Pro during lactation, breast-feeding should be stopped while taking the drug.
