Psoriaten, ointment 50 g

Psoriaten is a homeopathic remedy for psoriasis. Mahonia aquifolium (Mahonia suberifolia) contains the active ingredients, alkaloids, the main one being berberine.

The preparation has anti-inflammatory action (due to decrease of activity of cyclooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase enzymes, disruption of synthesis of arachidonic acid, leukotrienes, prostaglandins, thromboxane and also binding of free radicals) and antiproliferative action (due to inhibition of synthesis of proteins, RNA, DNA and indirect influence on biochemical processes necessary for reproduction of cells and synthesis of inflammatory mediators).

In addition, berberine is an antagonist of calmodulin, which is involved in the regulation of calcium metabolism in cells and plays an essential role in the processes of cell growth and reproduction.

Indications

Treatment of psoriasis and other skin diseases accompanied by dry and flaky skin (as part of complex therapy).

Composition

Active ingredient:

Matrix tincture of Mahonia aquifolium (Berberis aquifolium) 10 g;

Auxiliary substances:

Lanolin;

Lanolin alcohol ointment;

Liquid paraffin;

Purified water.

How to take, the dosage

Topically, adults and children over 1 year of age – a thin layer is applied to the affected areas of the skin, rubbing lightly, 3 times a day.

If there is no therapeutic effect within 3 weeks, see a doctor.

The use of homeopathic remedies does not preclude the use of other medicines.

Special Instructions

When using homeopathic remedies, a temporary initial worsening may occur.

In this case, treatment should be stopped and a doctor consulted.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to ingredients of the product, such as lanolin-based alcohol.

Side effects

Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions of the skin to components of the ointment base may occur.
