Cronic prostatitis (CP) is the most common disease in men, especially in the working and reproductive ages (J.N. Kriger, 2002).

According to various authors, CP affects 20 to 70% of urological patients.

Changes of adenomatous character of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia – BPH) appear to some extent in every second man after 50 years of age.

After the age of 70 more than 75 percent of men already show these changes, and in more than 60 percent of cases they are accompanied by chronic prostatitis.

Bioantioxidant complexes are of utmost importance in the treatment of CP both with and without an infectious factor.

The combined use of fat-soluble and water-soluble antioxidants is particularly promising for preventing oxidative stress and reducing its negative impact on the prostate,

but with conventional drug formulation technologies this appears difficult to achieve.

The combination of advanced fat-soluble and potent water-soluble antioxidant ingredients with high bioavailability in ProstateDose® was made possible through the use of Actilease® nanotechnology (for the fat-soluble component, vitamin E).

This technology achieves microencapsulation or separation of the active ingredients into microscopic nanoparticles, which provides high bioavailability, water solubility and stability, as well as optimal concentration of the components of the composition.

The conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone in the prostate cells with the help of the enzyme 5-a-reductase is recognized as the leading link in the pathogenesis of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

One of the important components of ProstateDose® – Palmetto Cernoa Fruit Extract – is capable of inhibiting the activity of this enzyme and thus inhibiting the proliferation of prostate tissues (antiproliferative effect).

The natural origin of the components of ProstateDose® represents an important advantage due to the high effectiveness of these agents in treating prostate diseases combined with the absence of negative effects on sexual function and the apparent lower risk of other adverse effects when used (compared to therapy with chemical agents).

The basic ingredients (substances) for ProstaDose® are produced in Europe (TEAVIGO® extract and vitamin E – DSM Nutritional Products Europe LTD, Switzerland; Palmetto Serenoa Fruit Extract – Naturex, France; Puramex ZN – PURAC Biochem B.V., The Netherlands, The Netherlands) and have a high degree of purification (undergo molecular distillation to remove impurities of heavy metals).

In addition, the components of ProstateDose® exhibit synergism (it has been proven that Palmetto fruit extract combined with zinc, selenium and other antioxidants have a much stronger effect when used simultaneously and achieve a significant effect at much lower doses than when these nutrients are used alone).

Particle characteristics of ProstateDose®

TEAVIGO® Extract

TEAVIGO® Extract is a unique extract from the leaves of green tea (Camellia sinensis) with the highest content of the active ingredient epigallocatechin gallate.

Highly purified (the purest form of green tea extract available in the world today, with no caffeine or other harmful impurities) and with the highest concentration of the beneficial component (at least 94% epigallocatechin gallate, compared to only 5% in dried green tea leaves).

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) has high biological activity:

• provides powerful antioxidant protection, saving cells from free oxygen radical damage;
• has an antiproliferative effect (by blocking aromatase and Na/K-ATPase);
• has a beneficial effect on metabolism by normalizing the regulation of blood sugar levels.

Numerous clinical studies have proven that EGCG can reduce the risk of developing various chronic diseases (cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and neurological).

With the action of the active ingredient (EGCG) the use of TEAVIGO® reduces the proliferation and swelling of prostate tissues, which helps normalize urination and reduces the severity of inflammatory changes in the prostate and (with long-term treatment) prevents the development of adenoma and prostate cancer.

Dwarf palm extract (Extr. Serenoa repens, aka Sabalis serrulatae)

Petal dwarf palm extract is one of the leading herbal remedies for inhibiting swelling, inflammation of the prostate and reducing the size of the prostate gland.

The antiproliferative effect is caused by inhibition of activity of the enzymes of 5a-reductase and aromatase which contribute to the transformation of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, i.e. by removal of the leading cause of BPH development.

Numerous clinical trials of Sabal extract in Germany, England, the USA and other countries have demonstrated its high efficacy in BPH and chronic prostatitis.

The absence of adverse effects allows the use of dwarf palm oil extract over a long period of time without fear of harmful effects on the body.

In addition, Sabal palm extract is beneficial for skin and hair by blocking 5-alpha reductase type 2 which is a key link in the development of androgenic alopecia (hair loss) and acne.

Indole-3-carbinol

Indole-3-carbinol is found in vegetables of the cruciferous family (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts).

It is a potent anti-oxidant and cancer-protecting agent, i.e. it prevents the development of tumors (it specifically “recognizes” modified cells with a “broken” gene program (cancer cells), prevents their division and causes their “suicide” without affecting healthy cells of the body).

In addition, indole-3-Carbinol:

• reduces excess prostate tissue overgrowth by regulating metabolism (blocks the enzyme aromatase) and inhibiting fibroblast growth factors;
• has pronounced anti-edema and anti-inflammatory effects in prostatitis;
• regulates muscle tone of the bladder and urethra eliminating disorders of urination
• has analgesic effect

It is an activated lactic form of zinc, the most easily absorbed in the digestive tract.

Zinc is a vital micronutrient that can be found in almost all body tissues.

Zinc is absolutely essential for cellular respiration, oxygen utilization, reproduction of genetic material (DNA and RNA), maintaining the integrity of cell walls and neutralizing free radicals.

Zinc is one of the most important trace elements for the normal functioning of the male reproductive system. In the human body, zinc is concentrated in the testicles, testicular appendages, prostate gland and sperm.

The excretion of zinc from the body is increased under the influence of stress, electromagnetic radiation (when working at a computer, staying close to a television set for extended periods of time, etc.), and exposure to toxic substances, heavy metals, pesticides and other environmental contaminants, which leads to a deficiency of this trace element even when taken in a normal diet.

The absorption of zinc with food decreases with age, which also tends to lead to zinc deficiency.

In the older age group, therefore, the use of a readily absorbable lactic form of zinc is particularly preferable and necessary.

100% selenium standardized fermentolysate of baking selenium-containing yeast.

Vitamin E is a selenium synergist.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion. Two capsules twice a day.
