Infusion Plantain has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antimicrobial bacteriostatic (against staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, hemolytic streptococcus), hemostatic, anti-allergic, analgesic, expectorant, sedative, hypotensive and laxative effect.

3.0 g was placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist 15 minutes, occasionally pressing down on the bags with a spoon, then they squeeze. The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiling water to 100 ml.

The infusion is taken orally warm 2-3 times a day 30 minutes after a meal for 7-10 days: adults and children over 12 years – 1/2 cup, children from 6 to 12 years – 1/3 cup, children from 3 to 5 years – 1/4 cup.

Before use, it is recommended to shake the infusion.

Interaction

Should not be taken at the same time as medications containing codeine and other anti-cough medications, since this makes it difficult to drain the diluted sputum.
