Phytolacca decandra (Phytolacca americana) is a tall herbaceous plant with the appearance of a small tree, growing in North America.

Chemical composition:

Saponins, including phytolacosides A and B, with anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory properties;
-lignans: neolignans, including Americanin A and B;
– lectins with mitogenic effects on lymphocytes; some of these proteins have antiviral properties (inactivate ribosome subunits and disrupt viral replication) against herpes, influenza, polio, HIV-1 viruses;
– gamma-aminobutyric acid.

Indications

Key symptoms for prescribing the drug

– reflex othalgia (pain in the throat extends from the root of the tongue to the ears and neck) when swallowing (especially warm fluids);
– feeling of pain and bruising all over the body, increasing with movement, despite the desire to move;
– fever with a state of prostration and a feeling of heaviness in the head as opposed to a feeling of cold in the rest of the body;
– dizziness when sitting;
– diffuse pain that feels like electric shocks.

Interaction

Directions for use

Sublingually.

The pellets should be taken by mouth 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal.

In children from 0 to 3 years of age the pellets are first diluted by shaking in 10-15 ml of water at room temperature and then given to drink.

The optimal amount per dose is 5 pellets.
