Limits calcium resorption and increases bone density, making up for the lack of calcium and vitamin D₃ in the body. Necessary for mineralization of teeth.

Calcium is involved in the regulation of nerve conduction, muscle contractions and is a component of the blood clotting system.

Vitamin D₃ increases the absorption of calcium in the intestine. Calcium and vitamin D₃ use prevents increased production of parathyroid hormone, which is a stimulant of increased bone resorption. Vitamin D₃ is absorbed in the small intestine. Calcium is absorbed in ionized form in the proximal small intestine through an active, D-dependent transport mechanism.

Active substances:

calcium – 600 mg (as calcium carbonate – 1500 mg);

p> cholicalciferol (vitamin D3) – 5 mcg (as cholecalciferol concentrate 2 mg).

How to take, the dosage

When freely administered by the consumer, the rates shown on the package must be observed. If the drug is prescribed by a doctor, the following rules should be observed.

Adults: for prevention of osteoporosis 1 tablet 1-2 times a day; in the treatment of osteoporosis 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. The tablets should be taken with food.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, gastrointestinal dysfunction (constipation or diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain), hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria (increased calcium in the blood or urine).

Overdose

Symptoms: anorexia, thirst, polyuria, decreased appetite, weakness, nausea, vomiting, hypercalciuria, hypercalcemia.
