Ornilatex, 500 mg/ml concentrate 10 ml 10 pcs

Reduces elevated ammonia concentrations in the body, particularly in liver diseases. The action of the drug is associated with its participation in the ornithine cycle of Krebs urea formation (formation of urea from ammonia).

Indications

acute and chronic liver diseases accompanied by hyperammonemia;
hepatic encephalopathy, incl. as part of complex therapy for disorders of consciousness (precoma and coma);
as a corrective additive to preparations for parenteral nutrition in patients with protein deficiency.

Pharmacological effect

Reduces increased concentrations of ammonia in the body, in particular in liver diseases. The effect of the drug is associated with its participation in the ornithine Krebs urea cycle (the formation of urea from ammonia).

Special instructions

When administering the drug in high doses, the concentration of urea in the blood plasma and urine should be monitored.

Contraindications

severe renal failure (serum creatinine >3 mg/1 dl);
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
breastfeeding period;
children under 18 years of age.

Side Effects

Very rare (less than 0.01%):
– nausea, vomiting;
– allergic reactions.

Interaction

Not identified. The drug solution should not be mixed with other medications.

Overdose

Symptoms: increased severity of dose-dependent side effects.

Treatment: the drug should be stopped and symptomatic treatment carried out.
