Omnitrop Pen 10 Pen Injector

1. The Omnitrop® Rep 10 Injector Pen is a precision medical device. Even if you have experience with this type of injector, it is extremely important that you read these instructions carefully and follow all of the instructions for use of the injector pen. As with any pen injector, failure to follow the instructions may result in an incorrect dosage of the medication.

2. The Omnitrop® Rep 10 Injector Pen is intended for use with 1.5 ml cartridges containing 10 mg of somatropin (Omnitrop® 10 mg per 1.5 ml of subcutaneous solution) and a BD™ needle (29G x 12.7 mm, 31G x 8 mm or 31G x 5 mm). The knob can be adjusted to dispense any dose up to 5.4 mg, in 0.1 mg increments. The adjustment wheel has easy-to-read numbers and clicks to make it easy to set the correct dose.

3: People with very poor vision are not recommended to use the Omnitrop® Rep 10 pen unless they have assistants with good vision who know how to use the injector pen.

4. The Omnitrop® Rep 10 Injector Pen comes in a cardboard outer package containing one Omnitrop® Pen 10 in a special pouch and these instructions.

5. The marking on the outer package, “Begin Use No Later,” with the year and month, indicates the date after which this pen may no longer be used.

Special Instructions

Before each injection, make sure that the cartridge holder is correctly positioned on the injector pen body with the blue arrow aligned with the white marking on the body.

There may be a few drops of product after the needle is attached.

It is important to prepare Omnitrop® Rep 10 properly before injecting with a new cartridge.

It is important to carefully inspect the solution before injection and only use it if it is clear and colorless.
