Pharmacodynamics

The product has a virulicidal effect on the influenza virus in direct contact with the virus-containing material, it prevents the reproduction of the virus in cells by blocking the binding sites of the influenza virus (mainly type A2) with the surface of the cell membrane.

When applied to the nasal mucosa the drug has no resorptive toxic and locally irritating effect.

Pharmacokinetics

Up to 20% of the drug is absorbed when applied to the nasal mucosa.
It does not cumulate in the body and is eliminated mainly by the kidneys within 24 hours.

Composition

Active ingredient: dioxotetetrahydroxytetrahydronaphthalene – 0.25 g;

Auxiliary substances: liquid paraffin – 0.5 g, Vaseline – up to 100.0 g.

How to take, the dosage

Most locally. For influenza prevention: daily 2-3 times a day to lubricate the nasal mucosa during the rise and maximum development of the epidemic outbreak of influenza (for 25 days) or in contact with a flu patient.

The treatment of viral rhinitis: the nasal mucosa is lubricated 2-3 times a day for 3-4 days.

Special Instructions

Influence on the ability to operate vehicles, machinery

The use of the drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving machinery, work dispatcher and operator).
