Octenisept is antiseptic.

Pharmacodynamics

Active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, lipophilic viruses (such as Herpes simplex virus and hepatitis B virus) as well as against yeast-like fungi and dermatophytes.

Indications

treatment of the skin and mucous membranes before diagnostic and surgical procedures in pediatric, surgical and obstetric-gynecological practice, in traumatology, proctology, dermatovenerology, otorhinolaryngology, dentistry;
treatment of wound and burn surfaces;
prevention of mycoses of the feet and interdigital mycoses.

Pharmacodynamics

Special instructions

Do not swallow. In newborns and young children, apply the drug with tampons or by spraying to avoid swallowing the drug. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.

Do not use for washing the abdominal cavity and bladder.

Do not apply to the eardrum area.

The drug does not have a negative effect on the performance of potentially hazardous activities that require special attention and quick reactions, such as driving vehicles, controlling moving mechanisms, etc.

Composition

Active ingredients:

octenidine dihydrochloride 0.1 g;

phenoxyethanol 2 g;

Excipients:

cocamidopropyl betaine;

sodium D-gluconate;

glycerol 85%;

sodium chloride;

purified water

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side Effects

There may be a short-term burning sensation at the application site.

There may be a bitter taste when rinsing your mouth.

Interaction

Do not use together with iodine-containing antiseptics.

In a place protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
