Minisistone has estrogen-gestagenic, contraceptive action.

Levonorgestrel in combination with ethinylestradiol blocks the release of releasing releasing factors (luteinizing and follicle stimulating) of the hypothalamus, inhibits the secretion of gonadotropic hormones by the pituitary gland, and thus inhibits ovulation; increases the viscosity of mucus in the cervix, which makes it difficult for sperm to enter the uterine cavity.

When taken regularly, it normalizes the menstrual cycle and helps to prevent a number of gynecological diseases, including those of tumor nature.

Contraception, functional disorders of the menstrual cycle, dysmenorrhea.

How to take, the dosage

Minisistone is taken orally. For contraception, 1 tablet a day (the interval between successive doses should not exceed 36 hours) for 21 days, followed by a 7-day break and a new cycle.

In case of functional disorders, the dose is adjusted by the doctor.

Special Instructions

Patients with varicose veins, phlebitis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, endometriosis, liver diseases are prescribed with caution.

The use should be discontinued and consult a physician if migraine-like headaches first occur, acute visual disturbances, pregnancy, acute thrombosis, biliary stasis or jaundice, and significant elevation of BP.

Contraindications

Side effects

In rare cases, headache, depression, nausea, diarrhea, mammary gland soreness;

On long-term use, very rarely, chloasma, deterioration of tolerance of contact lenses.

Pregnancy use

It is contraindicated in pregnancy.
