Pharmacological properties
A combined drug with antipyretic, vasoconstrictor, analgesic and anti-allergic effect.
Paracetamol has antipyretic and analgesic effect: reduces pain syndrome during colds – sore throat, headache, muscle and joint pain, reduces fever.
Pheniramine has antiallergic effect: it eliminates edema and hyperemia of mucous membranes of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and sinuses, reduces runny nose and lacrimation. Phenylephrine has a vasoconstrictor effect: it reduces nasopharyngeal mucosa edema.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) replenishes the increased need for vitamin C during “colds” and flu, especially in the initial stages of the disease, increases resistance to infectious diseases.
The combined effect of pheniramine and phenylephrine reduces nasal congestion and significantly eases nasal breathing.

How to take, the dosage
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 1 cup of boiled hot water. Use while hot. Sugar may be added to taste.
Repeat doses may be taken every 4 hours (maximum of 3 doses in 24 hours). Maxicold Rhino from the flu and cold can be used at any time of the day, but the best effect is achieved by taking the drug before going to bed, at night.
If there is no symptom relief within 3 days of taking the drug, it is necessary to see a doctor.
Interaction
It is recommended to refrain from taking the drug while taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
The risk of hepatotoxic effects of paracetamol increases with concomitant administration of barbiturates, diphenine, carbamazepine, rifampicin, zidovudine and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes.
Antidepressants, antiparkinsonian and antipsychotic drugs, phenothiazine derivatives increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation.
Special Instructions
To avoid toxic liver damage, paracetamol should not be combined with the intake of alcoholic beverages and should not be taken by persons prone to chronic alcohol consumption. The risk of liver damage increases in patients with alcoholic hepatosis.
When taken by patients with diabetes or on a low-sugar diet, note that each sachet has 13 g of sugar, which is equivalent to 1.0 IU.
Impact on driving and operating machinery
At the time of treatment, it is not recommended to drive a vehicle or operate other mechanisms that require concentration and high speed of psychomotor reactions.
Do not use the drug from damaged sachets.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the individual components of the drug, expressed hepatic or renal failure, pregnancy and lactation, children (under 12 years).
With caution: arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, closed-angle glaucoma, liver or kidney disease, prostatic hyperplasia, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, drowsiness, nausea, epigastric pain, dry mouth, accommodation paresis, hyperexcitability, dizziness, increased blood pressure, trouble falling asleep, urinary retention; rarely: anemia.
Overdose
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain; hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic effects, in severe cases liver failure, encephalopathy and coma develop.
Treatment: you should do gastric lavage, take activated charcoal and see a doctor.
Pregnancy use
The use of the drug during pregnancy is contraindicated.
If it is necessary to use the drug while breastfeeding, breastfeeding should be stopped.
