Marena dye extract, tablets 0,25 g 20 pcs

The main active ingredient of the drug is a dry extract of Dyer’s Marene obtained from the rhizomes and roots of Dyer’s Marene – Rubia tinctorum L. and its Georgian variety Rubia tinctorum L. var.iberica Fisch. Ex DC. ( R.iberica (Fisch ex DC.) Koch, Rubiaceae.

Dry extract of Lamia tinctorum has diuretic and antispasmodic effects, promotes loosening of urinary calculi containing calcium and magnesium phosphates and their removal from the kidneys and urinary tract.

Indications

Tablets of Marena dye extract are used in adults with renal stone disease to reduce cramps and facilitate the removal of small stones and sand.

Composition

Marena dye extract – tablets:

1 tablet contains standardized dry extract of Marena dye (Rubia tinctorum L.;

R.tinctorum var. iberica Fisch.),

cleared of ballast substances 250 mg,

accessory substances:

– to obtain a tablet of 500 mg:

calcium stearate;

lactose;

potato starch;

Silicon dioxide;

Modified starch (primellose);

Pack of 20 pieces.

How to take, the dosage

The drug is prescribed orally 1 tablet 3 times a day.

If necessary, the dose can be increased to 2-3 tablets 3 times a day. Tablets should be dissolved in 1/2 cup of warm water before taking.

The course of treatment is 20-30 days. The second course of treatment may be carried out after 4-6 weeks after consultation with the doctor.

Contraindications

High sensitivity to the drug components, acute and chronic glomerulonephritis, expressed renal failure, peptic ulcer disease, galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible.

When using the preparations of Marena dye, urine is stained reddish; if intensive staining of urine in reddish-brown color occurs, the dose should be reduced or the course of treatment should be temporarily interrupted.

Overdose

An overdose of preparations of Marena dye may cause pain associated with the withdrawal of concrements.
