The drug can be used both in adults and children. Lugol solution with glycerin is used externally. Tampon moistened with the drug is smeared on the mucous membranes of the pharynx and larynx.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated if the body is hypersensitive to iodine.

Side effects

The drug is usually well tolerated, but with long-term use, overdose, or hypersensitivity, iodine phenomena (runny nose, urticaria, salivation, muscle weakness, lethargy, Quincke’s edema, etc.) may occur.
