Fungus, Fingernail fungus
Indications
• Treatment of fungal nail infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds;
• prevention of fungal infections of nails.
Special instructions
• Files used on affected nails should not be used on healthy nails;
• Persons working with organic solvents should wear impermeable gloves to protect polished nails;
• During treatment, the use of false artificial nails should be avoided;
• The product contains ethanol, so applying it too often or incorrectly can lead to irritation or dryness of the skin around the nail;
• The tampon contains a highly flammable substance.
Avoid contact of varnish with eyes, ears and mucous membranes. If varnish gets into your eyes, rinse them immediately with water. Patients with conditions that predispose to the development of fungal nail infections (poor peripheral circulation, diabetes mellitus, immunodeficiencies), as well as patients with nail dystrophy or a damaged nail plate, psoriasis or other chronic skin diseases should consult a doctor.
If more than 2/3 of the nail plate is damaged or fungal, you should also consult a doctor to prescribe concomitant oral therapy.
If systemic or local allergic reactions occur after applying Loceryl® varnish, you should immediately stop using it and consult a doctor. Using nail polish remover, you need to remove the product from your nails. The drug should not be reapplied.
Active ingredient
Amorolfine
Composition
1.0 g of the drug contains:
Active ingredient: amorolfine hydrochloride – 64.0 mg, which corresponds to amorolfine base – 57.4 mg.
Excipients: Methyl methacrylate, trimethylammonioethyl methacrylate chloride and ethyl acrylate copolymer [2;0.2:1] – 143.0 mg, triacetin – 12.0 mg, butyl acetate – 57.0 mg, ethyl acetate – 172.0 mg, absolute ethanol – 552.0 mg.
Pregnancy
Data on the use of amorolfine during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding are limited. Animal studies have shown the presence of reproductive toxicity with oral administration of the drug in high doses. Due to the extremely low systemic exposure of amorolfine when applied topically in the form of nail polish, the risk to the fetus is negligible. It is not known whether amorolfine passes into breast milk.
Due to the limited data on the use of amorolfine in pregnant and lactating women, the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to amorolfine or any of the components of the drug.
Interaction
Not installed
Overdose
When using the drug externally, the development of systemic signs of overdose is not expected.
In case of accidental ingestion of the drug, appropriate symptomatic therapy must be carried out.
Recommendations for use
Externally. Apply to affected nails of fingers or toes 1-2 times a week as follows:
1. Before using the drug, remove, if possible, the affected areas of the nail (especially on its surface) using the supplied nail file.
2. Then clean the surface of the nail and degrease it with the supplied swab moistened with alcohol.
Treatment of nails with a file and a swab with alcohol must be carried out before each use of the drug.
3. Place the built-in applicator into the bottle of varnish and then carefully remove it, without wiping off excess varnish on the neck of the bottle.
4. Using the applicator, apply the varnish in an even layer over the entire surface of the affected nail.
Repeat the above procedure for each affected nail.
5. Let the varnish dry for 3 minutes.
6. Wipe the applicator with the swab used to clean the nail, while avoiding contact between the treated nails and the swab. Close the bottle tightly immediately after use.
Applying decorative nail polish is possible no earlier than 10 minutes after applying medicinal nail polish Loceryl.
When reapplying Loceryl varnish, you must carefully remove the remaining decorative varnish from the nails, then use the supplied files to treat the affected areas of the nails and remove the remaining layer of varnish with alcohol swabs. At the end of the procedure, wash your hands thoroughly. If the varnish was applied to your fingernails, first wait for it to dry completely.
After the varnish has dried, regular washing of hands and feet with soap is allowed.
Treatment should be continued until the nail regenerates and the affected area is completely healed.
The average treatment duration is 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails.
Due to the slow growth of nail plates, the first signs of improvement may become noticeable only after 2-3 months of using the drug. If there are no signs of improvement after 3 months, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
Action
Nail fungus varnish Loceryl® is a medicinal product that has a wide spectrum of action. Nail polish actively fights both the most common and rare types of nail fungus pathogens. The remedy for toenail fungus Loceryl® forms a waterproof polymer film on the surface of the nail, which is not washed off in the shower or worn in shoes when walking, thereby ensuring the constant effect of the drug. The active ingredient in the antifungal nail product Loceryl® amorolfine penetrates deep into the nail plate and further into the nail bed, destroying fungus even in hard-to-reach places. You can apply Loceryl® waterproof varnish against nail fungus once a week, which is convenient, because to achieve results you need to strictly adhere to the treatment regimen.
