Liv 52 is a combination herbal medicine. It has hepatoprotective, antitoxic, anti-inflammatory, choleretic, antioxidant, anti-anorexic effect. Helps to improve digestion and digestion of food.

The hepatoprotective effect of Liv. 52 is due to the antioxidant and membrane stabilizing properties of its components. The drug increases the level of endogenous tocopherols in hepatocytes and the level of cytochrome P450. Liv. 52 stimulates the biosynthesis of proteins and phospholipids. It promotes regeneration of hepatocytes, reduces degenerative, fatty and fibrotic changes, increases intracellular metabolism.

The drug regulates the level of plasma proteins in the blood by normalizing the ratio albumin/globulin. It normalizes the levels of plasma transaminases, cholesterol, triglycerides, reducing manifestations of dyslipidemia. Reduces the rates of bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase. Increases the ability of the liver to store glycogen.

Enhances colloidal properties of bile, prevents the formation of gallstones. It improves the contractile function of the gallbladder.

Stimulates hematopoiesis.

In case of alcoholic liver damage the drug decreases the level of ethanol in blood and urine; increases activity of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase which promotes reduction of acetaldehyde level; prevents binding of acetaldehyde with cell proteins, accelerates its elimination. By preventing damaging effect of acetaldehyde on hepatocytes, the drug reduces the risk of “hangover” syndrome.

How to take, the dosage

For preventive purposes the drug is prescribed 2 tablets 2 times a day.

For therapeutic purposes, children over 6 years of age are prescribed 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day, adults – 2-3 tablets 2-3 times a day.

Special Instructions
