Pharmacological properties

Linex® normalizes intestinal microflora. One capsule of Linex® contains at least 1.2 x 107 live lyophilized lactic acid bacteria: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium infantis, Enterococcus faecium. Live lactic acid bacteria are a normal component of the natural intestinal microflora and are already contained in the digestive tract of the newborn baby. These bacteria are of great biochemical importance to the human body:

Lactose fermentation shifts the pH factor to the acidic side. Acidic environment inhibits the growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria and provides optimal action of digestive enzymes;

Participate in the synthesis of vitamins B and K, ascorbic acid, thereby increasing the resistance of the body to adverse environmental factors;

– are involved in the metabolism of bile pigments and bile acids.

– synthesize substances with antibacterial activity.

– increases the immune reactivity of the body.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of dysbacteriosis.

Dysbacteriosis manifests itself by the following symptoms: diarrhea (diarrhea), dyspepsia (digestive disorders), constipation, flatulence (bloating), nausea, belching, vomiting, abdominal pain, allergic skin reactions are possible.

Lebenin® ˗ 280.00 mg (1 g of the active ingredient Lebenin®, powder contains:

Lactobacillus acidophilus (species L.gasseri) ˗ 300 mg,

Bifidobacterium infantis ˗ 300 mg,

Entococcus faecium ˗ 300 mg,

lactose ˗ 50 mg,

Potato starch ˗ 50 mg);

Auxiliary substances:

Magnesium stearate ˗ 8.40 mg;

Capsule shell ˗ methylhydroxybenzoate ˗ 0.19 mg,

propylhydroxybenzoate ˗ 0.08 mg,

titanium dioxide (E171) ˗ 0.98 mg,

gelatin ˗ up to 63.0 mg.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion.

Adults take 2 capsules 3 times a day.

LinexÒ should be taken after meals with plenty of fluids.

Patients who do not swallow the whole capsule should open it, pour the contents into a spoon, and mix with a small amount of fluid.

The duration of treatment depends on the cause of dysbacteriosis and the individual characteristics of the body.

Interaction

No undesirable interactions with other medicinal products were noted.

The composition of the drug allows LINEX to be taken simultaneously with other drugs, including antibiotics and chemotherapeutic drugs.

Special Instructions

Do not take Linex with hot drinks and do not take it with alcohol.

You should consult your doctor before taking the medicine if you have:

– body temperature above 38° C,

– traces of blood or mucus in the stool,

– diarrhea lasts more than two days and/or is accompanied by severe abdominal pain, dehydration and weight loss,

– Chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular disease) or conditions accompanied by immunodeficiency (e.g., HIV infection).

The treatment of diarrhea requires replenishment of lost fluids and electrolytes.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug;

Lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption;

children under 18 years of age.

Side effects

The drug is well tolerated.

There have been no reports of adverse effects, but the possibility of hypersensitivity reactions cannot be excluded.

Overdose

There have been no reported cases of overdose of Linex at this time.
