Lespheflan, 100 ml

Lespeflan is a liquid extract obtained from the shoots of Lespedeza bicolor (Turcz.) of the legume family Fabaceae and contains a sum of flavonoids of at least 0.05% in terms of luteolin-7-glucoside.

The drug has diuretic, hypoazotemic action: increases glomerular filtration, decreases the concentration of nitrogenous metabolism products in blood, increases clearance of nitrogenous compounds (urea, creatinine and uric acid).

Indications

Lespeflan is used in adults with chronic renal failure of various origins in latent compensated and intermittent stages as part of complex therapy.

How to take, the dosage

Lepeflan is administered orally 5-15 ml (1 teaspoon – 1 tablespoon) 3-4 times a day.

It is allowed to dilute the drug with water before use.

The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks.

The second course of treatment is possible after 2-3 weeks after consultation with the doctor.

Interaction

Due to the presence of alcohol, the drug should not be prescribed to patients receiving treatment with drugs that depress the central nervous system, insulin, hypoglycemic agents (metformin, sulfonylurea derivatives); drugs that cause intolerance to alcohol (disulfiram-like effects).

Special Instructions

If hyponatremia develops, it should be compensated by administration of sodium preparations.

The maximum daily dose of the drug contains 18.9 g of absolute alcohol, which may decrease the speed of psychomotor reactions; this should be taken into account when driving vehicles and working that require concentration and quick psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications

High sensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, liver disease, alcoholism, brain injury, brain disease, pregnancy, lactation, children under 18 years of age.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible, in rare cases – hyponatremia.
